Federal Supervisory Authority for Air Navigation Provides App for Facilities Protection

September 9, 2013
The Federal Supervisory Authority for Air Navigation has published an interactive map of the facilities protection based on map.apps. The new app provides users with an overview of the protection areas of air traffic control facilities in Germany. Through the online service, users can quickly and easily determine if buildings are planned within a protection zone. Via thematic maps, the users can access views of protection areas for wind turbines and protection areas for various other structures. In addition to the display of location and map navigation functions, the app provides tools for distance measurement or determination of coordinates. Using the centralized search function, desired locations can be quickly found. Information queries on individual protected areas will not be made available to the public for reasons. The application was implemented by con terra GmbH using map.apps and ArcGIS for Server. The new app takes advantage of the interactive configuration options of the standard map.apps software. More information and the application can be found on the websites of the Federal Supervisory Authority for Air Traffic Control. Run Live App
